A bit about me

 Development Sector: I work on development financing projects (mostly with international donors) both as a sole consultant as well as a team leader or expert for a consulting team. I have worked as an expert for both multi-lateral and bilateral organizations directly as well as through internationally reputed consulting firms. 

Financial markets and investing: The other thing that I am passionate about is financial markets, especially in developing countries. My professional interest in development financing extended over time to private sector operations, realizing how substantial income and wealth can be generated in developing countries through businesses. As an ardent fan of Warren Buffett and his value investing principles in businesses for many years, I was always excited about investing frameworks. Even took a Value Investing course at Columbia University where Buffett's guru Benjamin Graham used to teach! 

Working with the World Bank in South Asia for a good number of years got me firmly into development. I started consulting for the development sector from 2010. I have worked across large-scale development projects funded by World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, BMGF and other multilateral and bilateral organizations, as well as international NGOs, for two decades, focusing on:

• Evaluations of complex projects at national or sub-national levels. 
• Studies to create evidence for policy making. 
• Advising at design stage to development partners. 
• Supporting implementation of development projects. 
• Writing articles to highlight project achievements, lessons learned and good practices.
